We as a group have come together as a body to rise up and protect against the inhuman, unfair, and very unjust treatment practiced against so many families across the state of New Jersey by D.Y.F.S. Under the color of law, we and our children are the very people that the head law makers of our state designed laws to serve and protect against harmful effects of child abuse and child neglect. D.Y.F.S. has been mandated by state law to provide families in need with the means to help keep these families united as one. This is called family preservation and in more extreme cases, to reunite families that have been separated. They call this family reunification, but as citizens of New Jersey we see more and more of the opposite. D.Y F.S. clearly does not follow the mandates and laws as set forth by our law makers.
- We see day after day that D.Y.F.S. abuses and harms tha children of our state by tearing them from the loving arms of their true families for little or no validated reason. This is a violation of both state and federal law. We here at New Jersey Parents Against D.Y.F.S. seek to redefine the issues relating to child protection. We seek to be instrumental in redefining the issues relating to child protection, as well as the laws surrounding child protection, and pushing towards child welfare reform.
